Pursuit of alternative medicine

From my childhood, I hated swallowing pills even for fever...Anyday, I would prefer injections rather than tablets.. That much aversion I had for tablets (never knew that one day, I would be a pro in swallowing a handful of tablets effortlessly 😊). With much hatred, I started having those humongous tablets as prescribed by my doctor , my mouth ulcers became so severe that even gulping two idlies became a herculean task.. Mild abdominal pain had also started by that time. Seeing the severity of ulcers, we all assumed that ulcers are becoming severe because of the excess heat generated by the allopathy tablets. In the meantime, one of our family friend refered a homeopathy doctor who is a specialist in curing all stomach ailments. I also got to know from him that homeopathy pills are too tiny and easy to swallow...That gave me the much needed solace I was looking for. I  persuaded my husband to stop this allopathy treatment and pursue homeopathy.. I further convinced him by saying that as we know the exact disease now, this homeopathy treatment will definitely work out and not like the previous siddha treatment as the disease was unknown at that time...He also agreed, we drove to Salem to visit the homeopathy doctor..

My surgeries

Even though I was under medications (Pentasa and Azoran)  after my crohn's diagnosis in Feb 2012, my condition worsened over the months and had to be under the knife for the first time in my life in June 2012 for an ileostomy. My ascending and transverse colon were removed. Currently, I just have a part of my descending colon and sigmoid colon. Ileostomy reversal was done in Sep 2012. Reversal was an expected one but what was least expected was the surgery I had to undergo in November 2012 to release adhesions. Curtain raiser

On the personal front, I got married in the year 2008 and we were blessed with a beautiful princess in 2009 by normal delivery. A top notch career, an understanding husband and with the arrival of my princess, what more I could wish for in life? But God had other plans. Two to three weeks post delivery, I developed mouth ulcers, eye inflammation followed by diarrhea and fever. I had nausea and bloating as well. Visited a general physician, but to no avail. As my condition worsened, I got admitted in a multispeciality hospital. Seeing my lean frame, doctors suspected of tuberculosis and took all possible tests, but all results came negative. I was on IV fluids with antibiotics and antidiarrheal. My mother and sister took care of my baby while my husband was with me in the hospital, 24/7. Back to Square One..

The homeopathy doctor in Salem reviewed all my reports and gave us the confidence that this disease can be easily controlled by his homeopathy medicines. The medicines were easy to swallow and I also felt some improvement in my condition. I was strongly relying on this homeo treatment as I had to rejoin work after my extended leave of 3 months. But unfortunately after 2 months, my abdominal pain resurfaced and my bathroom visits also increased.  We again drove to Salem and the doctor gave some additional medicines.
